Catch the Winter Wave inspires visitors to experience how California does winter

The weather is getting colder and the first snow has fallen across the mountains of California, which means one thing: it’s time to hit the slopes! Visit California’s winter campaign, Catch the Winter Wave is back to inspire outdoor enthusiasts to head to higher altitude and enjoy all California has to offer in winter. California’s laidback surf culture is found at its legendary locations for skiing and snowboarding. You don’t have to only ski or snowboard to Catch the Winter Wave – hang loose at an après ski bar, hit the rink on ice skates, or get amped on snow biking tour.  

Catch the Winter Wave launched November 26, 2018 and will run through February 25, 2019. Media partners include TEN (The Enthusiast Network), Outdoor Project, TripAdvisor, and social channels. Featured destinations include Big Bear Mountain, Sierra at Tahoe, Mammoth Mountain, Heavenly Mountain Resort, Squaw Valley Ski Resort, Sugar Bowl Resort, and Kirkwood Mountain Resort. Don’t forget to try out Visit California’s SnapChat filter which will take you from chilling on the sunny beaches of California to geared up for the powder.
