In 2018, California continues to inspire, serving as home to one of the most diverse, dynamic tourism industries on the planet. And as the state's tourism community considers ways to partner, elevate and amplify marketing efforts around the globe in 2018, one of the biggest resources available is already at your fingertips.

The new, which launched late last year, is an entirely next-generation digital resource for California's travel and tourism industry to learn about and engage with Visit California. With a new year and new possibilities already unfolding, industry partners can ensure they never miss a beat by registering for a new account and signing up for all the latest news, insights and opportunities to share the California Dream.

Bringing the world to California

International travelers continue to be a fundamental driving force for California tourism, and in 2018, it is more important than ever for destinations and tourism-related businesses to roll out the red carpet. From 2016 to 2017, there was a 11 percent increase in international flights into California, totaling 25.7 million passenger seats over 112,000 flights, with gateway destinations welcoming record numbers of international flights.

Each of Visit California's 14 global markets have highly nuanced profiles in the revamped Global Market Profiles section. Explore major takeaways, cultural trends, forecasts, and potential market barriers and risk factors for for Canada, the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Scandinavia, Japan, China, India and South Korea. These profiles will be updated for the new year in February in anticipation of Outlook Forum.

From the truly global to the hyper-local, research tells a compelling story about today's traveler — and the new industry site is home to the most comprehensive collection of the latest reports and insights regarding California travel.

The Research & Trends portal has revitalized how industry partners can access and break down data. And with nearly 200 reports available at any time on any device, the world is quite literally at anyone's fingertips.  

Other topics covered in the Research & Trends Portal include air travel statistics, the effectiveness of advertising in various international markets, the economic impacts of travel and tourism broken down by region and current search trends about what's hot in travel. The calendar is home to a comprehensive, interactive list of every co-op, event, campaign and program available to industry over the next five years. By registering for an account, site users can bookmark partner opportunities that interest them and sign up for updates when new ones become available so they never miss a chance to participate.
