CRM Development Manager

Position Summary:

Lead the ongoing administration and support of our SalesForceDotCom (SFDC) services and applications. Work closely with business leaders, functional leaders, teams, vendor-partners and subject matter experts to ensure the health of the Salesforce platform. Be responsible for the executing on the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement the Salesforce platform as well as spearheading the salesforce adoption and training program at Visit California.


Responsible for the production of deliverables, working closely with various technical and non-technical team members and vendors; managing and participating in complex and strategic technical projects relating to the delivery and enhancement of Salesforce CRM and related SaaS services.


Be the subject matter expert who actively participates in the project; scoping, design, build, implementation and successful deployment of various Salesforce and other enterprise technology initiatives, with the end goal of delivering value for Visit California and our constituents.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • 20% Manage day-to-day administration and support of Visit California's SFDC services and association applications.
  • 15% Develop and lead training and adoption of the SFDC platform across the enterprise.  
  • 15% Identify opportunities to leverage the Salesforce platform and various integration tools. Participate in end-to-end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication and change management.
  • 15% Facilitate requirements gathering and assist with the creation of all project deliverables, as needed.
  • 15% Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with project stakeholders by providing vision, documentation, and future project road-mapping.
  • 10% Exercise solid project leadership skills combined with strong business acumen and in-depth analytic skills.
  • 5% Provide hands-on configuration and customization of the Salesforce product in all declarative tasks, design diagramming, and timelines for organizational projects.
  • 5% Other duties as assigned by supervisor. 

Essential Qualifications: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key duty satisfactorily, as well as exhibit the following qualifications:

  • Multi-year experience implementing Small, Medium and Enterprise scale Salesforce solutions
  • Multiple Salesforce.com Certifications (i.e. Admin, Consultant, Developer, Architect)
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills with cross-functional teams of varying size
  • Outstanding and effective interpersonal skills along with strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high energy, team-oriented environment, and to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure
  • PMP or CAPM Certification highly desired.
  • Application development experience (JavaScript, XML, HTTP, Python, ASP and SQL) highly desired.
  • Wireframing, design diagrams, timelines, and documentation experience highly desired.
