Position Summary:

Visit California is looking for an energetic candidate that is eager to learn and happy to help people. The role requires 5 years’ experience with network, computer, and phone support in a business environment. Other responsibilities include:  scripting, inventory management, and purchasing. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. Detailed requirements are listed below.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • 65% Monitor and manage all incoming incidents and requests submitted to ticketing systems.  Provide exceptional customer service and ensure SLA's are met.  Provide 2nd level support for cases escalated.
  • 15% Assist with system support, and network administration, network connections, and documentation.
  • 10% Recommend hardware and software purchases; investigate different products or tiers to serve our business needs. 
  • 5% Asset management and ordering of equipment needed.
  • 5% Maintain conference room audio/visual systems.


Other responsibilities:

·       Determine users' hardware and software needs. Work with managers and vendors to accommodate those needs.

·       Manage hardware and software inventory, both for permanent assignments and rentals.

·       Monitor and update antivirus software for all desktops and servers

·       Install and maintain network printers and fax machines

·       Create and Maintain system images and supported application packages


Essential Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key duty satisfactorily, as well as exhibit the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years of client interfacing and general desktop support
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of MacOS clients and iOS devices
  • Knowledge of common network protocols and troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to lift and move equipment (30-50 lbs.)
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and responsibilities in fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and demeanor and the ability to work with senior management
  • Ability to follow instructions and processes and maintain documentation
  • Availability to travel several times per year in support of company event
