Visit California Hosts Rural Partners at TravelAge West Family Travel Digital Expo

Visit California and delegation of rural partners — plus Los Angeles —participated in the TravelAge West Family Travel Digital Expo on Tuesday, March 16, which focused on domestic family travel in the Western U.S.

The virtual show encouraged informal one-to-one networking between travel advisors and destinations, which allowed partners to gather candid insights into advisor perceptions of the California travel market. Overall, agents were upbeat on forecasts for spring and summer travel, and many expressed that California is among the most desirable travel destinations for the peak season. 

Rural Region participation
As part of the FY 20/21 Rural Regional Marketing Program, Visit California provided a virtual booth and partner webinar at no cost to all eight California rural regions : North Coast (North of Ordinary), Shasta Cascade (UpstateCA), Gold Country, High Sierra, Central Valley, Central Coast, Discover Inland Empire and Deserts. Participation provided $4,245 total value for each region.
