The Visit California SuperFAM is one of the most high-profile FAM events of the UK travel industry calendar and attracts high quality agents from a variety of operators and agencies from across the UK & Ireland. The SuperFAM finale is a highly anticipated part of this annual project. The finale destination receives coverage throughout the FAM process through trade press advertising and coverage on the dedicated SuperFAM microsite which is used by agents to log their American & British Airways flight bookings. For 2020, the California SuperFAM will be taking place from October 1st - 8th, with agents arriving at the finale location on October 6th.

  • $ - Finale destination to cover all costs involved in hosting the finale with a $35,000 contribution from Visit California to assist with logistics, rooming and operational costs.

Details:

Interested parties will be asked to present a Powerpoint proposal outlining their ideas and offerings in line with Visit California's grand finale requirements. The host destination will be required to provide a schedule of activities for the agents to experience over a span of two days.

Within the proposal, Visit California's requirements are as follows:

  • Host destination to provide 39 rooms (heavily discounted or on a comp basis), 24 double/double rooms and 15 single rooms. This requirement can be spread across multiple hotels if needed. 
  • Preferable room rates for visiting California suppliers (approximately 10 rooms).
  • Proposal for the finale event. Venue must have appropriate AV facilities and capabilities for sponsor/group presentation and videos, full catering, and any 'outside the box' extras or ideas such as destination entertainment or experiences.
  • Proposal for activities and options for agents to experience the destination during the duration of the SuperFAM finale.

Partner Benefits:

  • Speaking opportunity at the finale event, both for destination and for attraction/ venue hosting.
  • Exposure of the destination on the SuperFAM microsite.
