Since it opened 3 years ago, the Cross Border Xpress (CBX) has been an excellent gateway for California connecting Tijuana Airport to San Diego. In 2019, it is expected that 2.7 million air passengers will cross through CBX, with 7,300+ crossings daily. Visit California’s CBX co-op program will allow California destinations to have large-scale branding spaces in the walk side bridge. This is a strategic location as a welcome path to California for Mexican air travelers. This co-op includes an opportunity for participation in the BestDay OTA co-op campaign, which includes a high-value airline component with Volaris.

BestDay offers a high value airline component (Volaris) and retail presence throughout Mexico. This includes digital advertising utilizing BestDay and Volaris media.


Travel Trade Trainings

Visit California will host a CA Star Roadshow in 5 key cities in Mexico targeting agents to register and complete the CA Star online training program. The roadshow will consist of training seminars and engaging events that will touch upon the road trip program, encouraging CBX passengers to road trip up the state to multiple destinations.
