JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary
The Industry Relationship Manager is responsible for managing the collection and recording of relationship data that will be used to inform Visit California on industry engagement, program success, and in-demand opportunities.
The Industry Relationship Manager will report directly to the Director of Engagement & Director of Data and Analytics.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with each department to continually identify and record industry touchpoints, current documentation practices, scalability needs, and scope of impacted industry members.
- Manage CRM development of records, forms, and flows to accurately reflect important programs, events, and interactions with the industry.
- Develop contact management processes to streamline creation, deactivation, and intelligence retention.
- Evaluate upcoming programs to prioritize tasks and create timelines and goals.
- Research and validate relationship records to be provided for external use (speeches, events, etc.)
- Develop and refine guides or walkthroughs of best practices for recording relationship data in the CRM.
- Enter selected relationship data into the CRM.
- Review and approve industry content submissions for use in listing projects (e.g. business listings, kiosks, etc.)
- Update relationship and program records via spreadsheet and/or within CRM database system.
- Fulfill organizational information requests and report building for each department.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Essential Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the following qualifications.
- Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business administration, communications, computer science, or related field.
- A proven track record working across departmental lines to develop business processes.
- Experience using a customer relationship management system, e.g. Salesforce.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- A strong customer service focus, with the ability to identify and distinguish unique industry stakeholder segments.
- Ability and motivation to work in creative ways to expand the boundaries of traditional audience services and take advantage of emerging technologies.
- Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate and work well with others in a professional office environment.
- Ability to travel as needed.
