All California Tourism Partners Urged to Complete Regional Plan Survey
By Dan Smith 11/13/2023
Visit California’s two-year project to create Regional Tourism Strategic Plans across the state has hit a critical stage in information gathering from tourism stakeholders.
A brief questionnaire to gather feedback on key issues is in the field this month, and all tourism partners in California, including people affiliated with businesses, marketing organizations and tourism-adjacent civic non-profits, are encouraged to participate.
The goal is to guide the planning project by gaining a greater understanding of the following:
- The existing strengths of the tourism economy.
- Opportunities that each region can take to enhance the tourism ecosystem.
- Future areas of focus for the strategic planning process.
- Market research needs of tourism stakeholders.
The survey can be accessed here: https://globaleysurvey.ey.com/jfe/form/SV_81vaP1Ahe0YmK6q
This feedback will directly inform the regional plans and guide priorities and recommendations. Please participate in the survey and share it with industry partners.
The survey should take 15-20 minutes to complete. Please answer questions where you are familiar with the subject matter. If you are unfamiliar with the content or don’t have an opinion on a particular subject, please skip to the next question.
These plans will be developed individually for each California region. This initiative was funded by Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant dollars, and the planning process is expected to conclude at the end of 2024. You can learn more about the overall approach here.
Visit California’s effort is being facilitated by JLL's Tourism and Destination Advisory Practice in cooperation with Ernst and Young. All responses will be confidential and only shared in the aggregate.
For technical questions, please get in touch with Edmond Nana (Edmond.NanaJimngang@ey.com). For all other questions, please email Bethanie DeRose (Bethanie.DeRose@jll.com).
If you take the survey in multiple sittings and want to pick up where you left off, you must re-access the survey via the same IP address and browser. If you started the survey and re-accessed it via a different browser or IP address, your previously provided responses won't be saved.
