Lake Tahoe partners join Visit California staff for a Destination Mixer

On September 25, Visit California hosted four Lake Tahoe partners for a session designed to educate staff and agency partners on the region’s diverse destinations and experiences.

Visit North Lake Tahoe

Visit North Lake Tahoe presented its offerings, focusing on how visitors can recharge and reconnect with nature through their "It's Human Nature" campaign. Attendees engaged in a round of BINGO to learn more about the destination, captured mountaintop footage for social sharing, and enjoyed a North Tahoe craft brew from the famous shot ski. Visit Lake Tahoe

Visit Lake Tahoe began with a tasting from South Lake Tahoe Brewing Company, featuring local flavors. The session highlighted year-round activities and the Lake Tahoe Destination Stewardship Plan, which includes the “Rules to Lake By” and the Fill It Forward Program in partnership with Drink Tahoe Tap. Attendees also participated in a Kahoot trivia game with prizes and received Rose and Golden Milk Latte Powder from Woods Apothecary.

Visit Truckee-Tahoe

Visit Truckee-Tahoe emphasized the purity and sustainability of Truckee’s water. A representative from the Truckee Donner Public Utility District explained how Truckee’s water is sourced from a deep aquifer, making it exceptionally cool and oxygen-rich. Attendees explored Truckee’s sustainability efforts through interactive content, including an augmented reality poster that brought water science to life.

Sierra-at-Tahoe

Sierra-at-Tahoe shared its long history, beginning with the founding of Sierra Ski Ranch in 1946. The team discussed recovery efforts after the Caldor Fire and plans to celebrate the resort’s 78th anniversary this season. Known for its terrain parks, which have produced Olympic gold medalists, and programs for all skill levels, Sierra-at-Tahoe continues to offer a distinctly local experience. The presentation ended with a toast featuring wines from Madrona Vineyards.
