• In February 2025, California recorded 440,166 non-resident international arrivals at its ports of entry, representing an 8.8% year-over-year decline compared to February 2024. This marked the first month of negative growth in over a year, signaling a broader slowdown likely influenced by wildfires and political challenges.
• All priority markets saw a decline in arrivals during the month.
• Canada recorded 75,056 air arrivals, a 12.3% drop year-over-year.
• China arrivals were at 39,568 , reflecting 11.7% year-over-year decline, but the shift of the Chinese Lunar New Year from February to January impacted year-over-year comparisons for that market.
• Among California’s ports of entry, Los Angeles experienced the steepest year-over-year decline in international arrivals.
