A monthly summary of non-resident air arrivals at any California ports of entry (POE).

 

Please note: Beginning with July 2025, the reporting definition of “arrivals” and the historical data have been revised to reflect air arrivals through all California ports of entry.

The downloadable report includes both the old and new methodologies, along with historical data for comparison.

  • In October 2025, California welcomed 608.917 total non-resident international air arrivals through its all ports of entry — a decrease of 7.2% compared to October 2024.
  • Arrivals from Visit California’s 13 priority markets totaled 441,916 reflecting a 9.1% year-over-year decrease.
  • Canada remained the top international market with 96,839 arrivals, despite a moderated 23.2% decline year-over-year. Mexico ranked second with 62,908 arrivals, up 5% from the prior year. 
  • Arrivals declined in 8 out of 13 priority markets, with the steepest drops from Nordics (-25.8%), Canada (-23.2%), France (-19.6%), Germany (-19.1%).
  • Arrivals from South Korea grew by 27.5% for month, likely due to extended travel around the Chuseok (Thanksgiving) holiday.
  • The other markets with year-over-year growth in arrivals for the month included India (+2.9%) and Japan (+1.5%) and China (+0.9%).
