International Arrivals

A monthly summary of non-resident air arrivals at any California ports of entry (POE).

• In April 2026, California welcomed 537,218 total non-resident international air arrivals across all ports of entry, a 14.2% decrease compared to April 2025.
• Arrivals from Visit California’s 13 priority markets totaled 392,761, reflecting a 14.6% year-over-year decline.
• Mexico was California’s top international source market with 87,375 arrivals, up 4.5% year over year. Canada followed with 85,737 arrivals, down 19.9%, while China recorded 38,442 arrivals, a 5.1% decrease.
• Overall, arrivals declined in 11 of the 13 priority markets. The steepest drops were seen in the Middle East (-64.4%), Italy (-39.4%), and Germany (-36.7%).
• The only positive performers for the month were Mexico (+4.5%) and Japan (+17.8%) year over year.
