Overview

The Industry Relations program is a strategic initiative designed to unify the state's travel industry by reinforcing California's position as a premier global travel destination. This program offers multiple touchpoints for engagement, including regional liaisons, regional events and conferences, and staff engagements at Visit California headquarters.

Directors of client relations

Directors of client relations are the primary point of contact for industry businesses and organizations. They are regional experts dedicated to supporting local tourism businesses and tourism associations through year-round outreach and by providing in-depth information on ways to engage with Visit California's programs.

Learning about your business or organization is key to keeping local challenges, new developments and community milestones at the forefront of Visit California's program of work. Directors of client relations will identify and share opportunities that provide the most benefit to the region and individual organizations in addition to communicating upcoming events that serve the industry like Visit California's premiere tourism conference Outlook Forum.

Destination mixer program

Mixers provide Visit California’s staff and agency partners with an overview of the travel experiences in destinations across the state. Multiple destinations and businesses within a region share intelligence and marketing updates and generally help Visit California staff promote regional tourism. The events occur three times each year at Visit California’s offices in Sacramento.

Due to the vast wealth of destinations across the state and high interest in the program, Destination Mixer events are booked one year in advance. If you would like to participate, contact Industry Engagement Manager Gohar Manukyan.
