Visit California recently hosted a Destination Mixer event on June 26, spotlighting the rich offerings of Orange County. This lively gathering brought together industry partners from four key destinations in the region: South Coast Plaza, Travel Costa Mesa, Travel Santa Ana and Visit Buena Park.
South Coast Plaza
South Coast Plaza captivated attendees with a luxury-focused presentation featuring renowned global brands and new store openings. Emphasizing its allure as a premier shopping destination, South Coast Plaza showcased upscale experiences and indulgences, including the newest addition Yu Cake, known for its artisanal mille crepe cakes with reduced sugar content. Attendees were treated to a variety of flavors after a group lunch, adding a sweet finale to the day's festivities.
Travel Costa Mesa
Travel Costa Mesa embraced the theme of The Ultimate Playground with an interactive game that allowed participants to design their ideal day in Costa Mesa. The journey through the city's culinary delights, artistic venues, and cultural hotspots highlighted Costa Mesa's dynamic lifestyle. Attendees engaged in a choose-your-own-adventure experience, complemented by custom stickers, a special coloring page featuring the new Orange County Museum of Art, and delectable bites from local restaurants. This immersive session encapsulated the playful spirit of Costa Mesa, leaving participants inspired and eager to explore more.
Travel Santa Ana
Travel Santa Ana introduced attendees to its rich culture through a customized game of loteria. Each card depicted iconic landmarks, historic buildings, and culinary delights synonymous with the city's vibrant culture. The game not only entertained but also served as an educational tool, fostering a deeper appreciation for Santa Ana's heritage. Winners were treated to exclusive Santa Ana stickers and pins, with the festivities continuing with refreshing micheladas, both traditional and mocktail versions, adding a flavorful twist to the event.
Visit Buena Park
Visit Buena Park kicked off the festivities with an engaging and interactive trivia game designed to highlight the destination's unique offerings. Attendees formed themed groups representing various activities available in Buena Park. The custom video presentation featured lively characters from Buena Park's attractions, challenging participants with five trivia questions. Winners were rewarded with prizes embodying the essence of Buena Park, enhancing their experience and knowledge of the area.
The Destination Mixer program not only celebrates the diverse tourism offerings of the state but also provides a platform for industry partners to showcase their unique attractions and experiences.
