Visit California recently hosted a vibrant Destination Mixer in Sacramento, spotlighting Orange County’s rich travel experiences through interactive displays and immersive storytelling. The event provided a platform for education, networking and strategic collaboration, reinforcing to Visit California staff and partners why Orange County is a premier destination.

The mixer featured standout activations from Visit Huntington Beach, Visit Dana Point, Visit Anaheim and Visit Newport Beach — each showcasing the distinctive character and visitor appeal of their communities.

Visit Huntington Beach invited attendees to craft custom VW Bus planters, inspired by scenic road trips along the Pacific Coast Highway. As participants added succulents, sand, and beachy figurines to their planters, they explored Surf City USA’s hallmark attractions — from family-friendly beaches to iconic surf culture.

Visit Dana Point highlighted its unparalleled whale-watching experiences and marine conservation leadership. Representatives from Dana Wharf Sport Fishing & Whale Watching were on hand to discuss Dana Point’s designation as the “Dolphin and Whale Watching Capital of the World,” where sightings of blue whales, orcas and other rare marine life draw global attention.

Visit Anaheim showcased two dynamic pillars of its tourism landscape: Disneyland Resort and the upcoming OCVIBE entertainment district. Disneyland offered an early look at its 70th Anniversary Celebration, including limited-time experiences and a new TV campaign. Meanwhile, OCVIBE’s presentation gave attendees a behind-the-scenes view of the $4 billion, 100-acre redevelopment that will transform the area surrounding Honda Center into a world-class hub for dining, music and family entertainment.

Visit Newport Beach brought its “Seas the Season” campaign to life with a multisensory journey through the destination’s five distinct seasons. From a springtime boating excursion and a summer frozen treat tasting to a fall courtside experience and winter seafood pairing, each activation captured the coastal city’s charm. Attendees also got a preview of Newport’s signature holiday season — 50 days of lights, festivities and waterfront wonder.

The Sacramento mixer offered a powerful platform for destination partners to connect with Visit California staff and partners all while reinforcing the depth and diversity of Orange County’s travel offerings.
