Visit California’s Gold Pass helps destinations and local business partners collaborate to bring domestic and international journalists to the Golden State. Carefully arranged media familiarization trips result in incremental editorial coverage that aligns with destination brand traits, broadens awareness of California travel offerings and drives trip consideration.

  • Only DMOs may complete a Gold Pass application, and applicants must partner with two other regional DMOs. 
  • Tourism businesses should contact their local DMO to participate.
  • Members of the media interested in visiting California should complete the press trip request form.
