Total domestic and international passenger traffic in California's 10 most trafficked commercial airports.


  • This report shows airport traffic statistics for 2022, 2021, 2020 and 2019, as well as total year-to-date change for California. 
  • In February 2022, California top ten airports welcomed 11,302,928 passengers. This is an increase of 166 percent from 2021 and a decrease of 30 percent from 2019. 
  • February year-to-date passenger traffic in 2022 at these ten airports was 21,857,847 of which 19,228,939 were domestic and 2,628,908 were international.
  • February year-to-date change for California airports’ domestic traffic was down 29% and 59% for international traffic compared to 2019.
  • Airports with highest level of passengers were Los Angeles (4,080,905) and San Francisco (2,252,900).
