• In April 2026, total passenger traffic across California’s top ten airports reached 17.4 million, with domestic travelers accounting for 80% of the volume. Overall traffic was down 1.9% compared to March 2025.
• The state’s three busiest airports—LAX (5.8M), SFO (4.5M), and SAN (2.3M)—collectively handled 12.6 million passengers during the month.
• Oakland (OAK, -18.2%), San Jose (SJC, -14.1%), and Long Beach (LGB, -10%) reported the deepest year-over-year declines.
• San Diego (+10.6%) and Sacramento (+2.2%) reported the highest growth for the month.
