Visit California welcomed the five Central Valley regions for a destination mixer event on September 26. Held at Visit California headquarters in Sacramento, the event educated the team on the unique experiences travelers can find in California’s heartland, the Central Valley, and offered a bounty of networking opportunities and market strategy coordination.
Visit Yolo County's bounty was on full display at the event, where they not only educated but also tantalized the senses of our attendees. Attendees sampled an array of Yolo County wines from Baryessa Gap Vineyards, indulged in delectable aperitifs courtesy of L’Apero Les Trois, and explored specialty agave spirits handpicked by the California Agave Council. To add to the experience, they offered a selection of California-made whiskey from Patio 29.
But that's not all – attendees also had the pleasure of sampling Chef Juan Barajas's mouthwatering chicken and waffles with Savory Café, complemented by the sweetness of local honey from Z Specialty Food, LLC.
Visit Modesto showcased its destination's riches with a delightful sensory journey, including a California Olive Oil tasting and EVOO education guided by a master sensory analyst from Sciabica California Olive Oil. Attendees indulged in handcrafted almond butter milkshakes from Roberts Ferry Gourmet. The Visit Modesto team added a playful touch by inviting participants to enjoy a game of "Heads Up," and take home custom-made goodies from the destination.
Visit Fresno County crafted an engaging game for participants to take a chance and find out the wonders of Fresno County. Participants learned about the local attractions and events while savoring handcrafted ice cream specially created for Visit California by Ampersand and world-class crafted beer from Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Co.
Visit Stockton showcased its distinct identity through a series of entertaining activities. The Stockton Soul Orchestraprovided soulful tunes, Orlando Molina, a children's book author, performed a Stockton-themed rap, and Hellen Heels from SJC Pride Center hosted a lively Drag Queen Trivia.
In addition to the lively entertainment, attendees enjoyed indulgent treats from Heavenly Sweets and sipped on delightful ube and matcha lattes from Terra Coffee, adding a touch of sweetness to the event.
The Visit Fairfield team treated attendees to a virtual wine tour and tasting of the picturesque Suisun Valley, exploring the offerings of various wineries nestled within this beautiful region. Guests had the pleasure of savoring wines from Caymus Suisun, the agricultural gem of Suisun Valley, expertly paired with delectable chocolates crafted by the iconic Jelly Belly Candy Company.
