San Francisco media event builds relationships with Bay Area media

On April 11, media and influencers in the greater Bay Area joined 39 destination and attraction partners at Visit California’s Spring 2024 San Francisco Media Reception. The event, held at The Conservatory at One Sansome, was the first in-state opportunity to share what The Ultimate Playground is all about.

Over 80 top-tier media and influencers attended the event, including 11 media from Visit California’s Play in the Bay Global Press Trip. Media attendees represented high-profile outlets such as AFAR, ABC-7, Marin Magazine, Nob Hill Gazette and Smart Meetings.

During the event, partners shared their top story ideas and pitches with attendees. Visit California also invited partners and media alike to take the Play Style quiz to learn more about their style of play. After taking the quiz, attendees added a corresponding California Play Style sticker to their name badge, encouraging discussions about how to play in each of the state’s incredible destinations.

Three trips were raffled off throughout the evening to further inspire travel throughout the state. Love Catalina, Marina del Rey Tourism Board, Stay Healdsburg, Under Canvas and Visit Greater Palm Springs provided the trips.
