'See You Soon' Campaign Inspires Plans for Future Travel

Visit California’s “See You Soon” social media campaign continues to build anticipation for a return to California tourism in the lead-up to a wider reopening of the state. The campaign puts wistful fans of Golden State travel in conversation with California destinations representing all 12 California tourism regions.  

A four-day paid social campaign targeting likely California travelers ran June 26-30, garnering more than 900,000 views and generating 3,600 comments, with a view rate of 44% across high-reach placements such as Instagram Stories and Facebook feeds.  

Since the paid campaign concluded, Visit California has continued to roll out the videos on its owned Facebook and Instagram channels. Millions of fans of the Golden State continue to view the videos, which have received a 73%-plus favorability rating. This has translated into strong engagement, with viewers sharing their experiences visiting the featured destinations and expressing their desire to return.
