Visit California continues to create meaningful opportunities for the state’s tourism industry by connecting destination partners with influential media and insights shaping the future of travel storytelling.
This April, as part of ongoing efforts to support California’s wine industry amid evolving consumer preferences, supply-demand challenges and changing economic conditions, Visit California brought representatives from Visit Sonoma County, Visit Napa Valley and Travel Paso Robles to New York City to participate in the exclusive People Inc. Travel Summit. The annual event brings together leading travel editors and destination organizations for a day of networking, education and industry insights.
Participating wine country partners gained direct access to editors from top travel and lifestyle publications, including Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine, Coastal Living and other leading outlets. The summit’s extended trade show provided valuable opportunities for one-on-one conversations, allowing partners to share story ideas, strengthen media relationships and highlight the unique experiences available across California’s wine regions.
Beyond networking, attendees participated in a full day of educational programming designed to help destinations navigate the evolving media landscape. Sessions included insights from People Inc.’s editorial team, research presentations highlighting emerging travel and consumer trends, and discussions focused on the future of travel journalism.
The summit reflects Visit California’s ongoing commitment to providing destination partners with strategic opportunities that elevate the state’s tourism industry, foster collaboration and position the Golden State as a premier global travel destination.
