International Arrivals

A monthly summary of non-resident arrivals at California ports of entry (POE).

• In March 2025, California welcomed 494,952 non-resident international arrivals through its ports of entry—a decline of 11.0 % compared to March 2024.
• Arrivals from Visit California’s 13 priority markets totaled 358,642, reflecting a 12.1 % year-over-year decrease and signaling continued softness across several key international markets.
• Canada remained the top international source market by volume, with 81,225 air arrivals. However, this total reflects a 15.5 % decrease compared to March 2024.
• Mexico continued its downward trend, with 36,279 air arrivals in March—a 24.2 % decline year-over-year, extending the ongoing decrease in travel volume from nearby markets.
• Among European markets, Germany and the United Kingdom recorded the sharpest declines. Germany saw 20,847 arrivals (a 26.2 % year-over-year decrease), while the United Kingdom reported 33,860 arrivals (a 22.1 % year-over-year decrease).
