The Visit California Poppy Awards honor the best and brightest of California tourism promotion. The awards are bestowed in even-numbered years and serve as the finale to Outlook Forum.

This year’s awards feature eight categories that encompass core disciplines in tourism marketing and destination management. Poppy Award recipients are chosen by expert judges from the tourism industry.

The Poppy Awards industry gala will cap two days of Outlook Forum conference programming on the evening of Feb. 15, 2022. To attend, please register for Outlook Forum 2022 in San Francisco. To comply with San Francisco regulations for in-person events, attendees will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

The submission period has closed. This year's awards received a record 218 entries for California tourism businesses and destinations! See the finalists and winners below.

An organization's brand is more than a logo or an ad or the design language for corporate identity – a brand represents the essence of a destination and is a reflection of a place’s unique character, lifestyle and assets.
