2023 California Visitor’s Guide Now Available

Actor and entrepreneur Jessica Alba graces the cover of the official 2023 California Visitor’s Guide, which features 750+ California tourism businesses. Inside, Alba spotlights her favorite locations and attractions in the state that she says inspires people to “reach for the stars.” The guide also features a wide range of new experiences, insider travel tips from locals, information on the state’s 12 diverse regions, as well as maps and listings.
Visit California partnered with DotDash Meredith to bundle half of this year’s guides with well-known titles including Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure and All Recipes. A further 250,000 guides will be distributed through California Welcome Centers, VCA liaisons and VisitCalifornia.com.
California’s rich Native American culture is celebrated with coverage that includes the new Agua Caliente Cultural Museum in Palm Springs and other locations among Santa Cruz County, Capay Valley and the Eastern Sierra where visitors can immerse themselves in California Native culture.
For the adrenaline junkies of the world, the guide also highlights extreme experiences, such as climbing in Idyllwild, flying over San Francisco Bay and scuba diving in San Diego — and 5 California snow adventures that with custom itineraries for powderlovers. On the other hand, those preferring a milder, family-friendly experience can follow five moms and their families as they discover all the Golden State has to offer.
And for those feeling the pinch of inflation, the guide is a reminder that there are plenty of things to do for free in California.
