Visit California showcased Southern California’s diverse meetings and events offerings during a four-day press trip Aug. 10-13, bringing leading meetings media to Greater Ontario, Anaheim and Santa Ana.
The three destinations provided media with a firsthand look at the range of experiences available to meeting and event planners, from major convention and entertainment venues to boutique hotels and historic event spaces.
The trip began in Greater Ontario, where media toured Toyota Arena and the Ontario Convention Center, explored the iconic Route 66 corridor and previewed hotel and event space at DoubleTree by Hilton Ontario and Sanctity, Tapestry Collection by Hilton.
In Anaheim, the group explored meeting and event space at Hilton Anaheim, received a hard-hat tour of OCVIBE and toured the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. A behind-the-scenes tour of Angel Stadium and visits to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park highlighted the destination’s entertainment offerings and opportunities to extend the meeting experience beyond the convention floor.
The trip concluded in Santa Ana with visits to The 1912, The Yost Theater, The Observatory and Hotel Zessa, complemented by experiences showcasing the city’s dining and public art scene.
Meetings Today, California Meetings + Events, Recommend and Smart Meetings participated in the trip, creating opportunities for future coverage that will showcase California’s meetings experiences and keep the state top of mind among planners considering destinations for future meetings and group business.
