Visit California Germany is partnering with Germany’s No. 1 travel print publication ADAC Reisemagazin for a 48-pages Ultimate Playground editorial feature in the 1/2025 issue (published February 9, 2025). Through this campaign, California will be presented in an unprecedented way across 48 pages in Germany's leading travel magazine, making it visible to a travel-savvy and affluent target audience. Partners are invited to participate either within the editorial feature or through advertorial/ad placements.
The ADAC Reisemagazin is Germany’s No. 1 travel print publication, published bi-monthly by the German Automobile Club (ADAC), with a circulation of 56,868 and an estimated ad value of $24,825.71 per page. The magazine caters to travel enthusiasts, showcasing a mix of stunning photography and insightful articles on global destinations. Each edition focuses on a particular destination or travel theme, offering comprehensive tips, cultural perspectives and practical advice to enrich readers' journeys. The ’Ultimate Playground’ editorial feature is a 48-page special published in the magazine's signature look and feel, focusing on California. It includes genuine articles penned by ADAC Reisemagazin's editors and freelance journalists with in-depth knowledge of California and its regions. Visit California will work closely with the editorial team of the ADAC Reisemagazin to develop the thematic direction of both the overall feature and the individual articles. The articles themselves are independently written by the journalists to ensure editorial independence and authenticity. Before publishing the magazine, two rounds of approvals are agreed upon.
Partners are invited to participate in this exciting opportunity either within the editorial feature or through advertorial/ad placements. The thematic focus for the editorial feature will be determined in joint consultations with partners beforehand. In addition, partners are invited to share briefing points, visuals, contacts to locals/storytellers/ambassadors and suggestions for journalists they have worked with successfully in the recent past (if applicable). The editorial authority resides with the magazine. No content will be published without the partners approval.

- Create a comprehensive, 48-page California editorial special of high journalistic quality that showcases the diversity of opportunities to play in California, including well-known and lesser-known destinations to both inspire and inform readers about their potential trip.
